LoopbackClients

Enum LoopbackClients

Source
pub enum LoopbackClients {
    Fetched,
    Refused,
}
Expand description

Whether this deployment will fetch a client metadata document over loopback http://.

A development client serves its document from its own machine, which this server would then fetch. On a real deployment that is an outbound GET to the machine running the PDS, with the outcome readable from the error it answers: a probe of its own network reachable from an unauthenticated endpoint. A deployment under .localhost is a development one and needs the fetch; every other deployment refuses it.

The profile’s http://localhost client_id form is built here from its own query and fetches nothing, so every deployment accepts it; see parse_loopback_client_id.

Variants§

§

Fetched

Fetch them — a development deployment.

§

Refused

Refuse them.

Implementations§

Source§

impl LoopbackClients

Source

pub fn for_zone(zone: &str) -> Self

What a deployment serving zone does. .localhost and localhost itself are development zones; nothing else is.
