Why a client did not authenticate.

Variants

Incomplete

One of the two assertion parameters arrived without the other.

UnsupportedAssertionType

client_assertion_type named something other than ASSERTION_TYPE.

AssertionRequired

A confidential client sent no assertion.

AssertionRefused

A public client sent one.

UnknownKey(String)

No key the client publishes has the kid the assertion names.

Expired

The assertion is older than ASSERTION_MAX_AGE allows, or past its exp.

Replayed

The assertion’s jti was spent by an earlier request.

WindowFull

The replay window is holding as many jtis as it will, so this server cannot promise this one is new. Refused rather than admitted, as REPLAY_CAPACITY explains.

PredatesStart

The assertion was stamped before this server started, and it is still inside the first window since: the replay window started empty and cannot say whether it was spent.

Invalid(String)

Anything else the assertion gets wrong. The text says what.
